He will discuss the role of the job seeker in this poor economy and the role of the internet as a channel to help individuals brand themselves for career success. Dan will also share his own personal branding success story and what he's learned along the way.

These days, career management is about continuous personal branding and reputation management. During any market condition you want people in your industry to know who you are and connect you to opportunities. These days this is especially true. But if you think that all you have to do is fill out an impressive LinkedIn profile, you are mistaken. Blogging can help – but there are ways to do it right and ways to just spin your wheels.

In this session, Gil Yehuda will outline the process of developing a personal online brand through the use of blogs and blog commenting. We will discuss how to find and develop your online networks in the blogosphere, where to leave your digital fingerprints, and how to leverage online conversations to help promote your social relevance and get your next job.

Prior to Hearst, Sheryl was a VP, Marketing Director for BaseSix, a boutique interactive firm based in Boston where she was responsible for spearheading the entertainment-side of the business, managing such clients as HBO and Showtime. Sheryl was also a Sr. Account Manager at The Sloan Group for clients such as Ticketmaster and Nickelodeon and spent the first 8 years of her career in marketing and brand development at MTV, VH1 and USA Networks.
